The Clio Cloud Conference, a.k.a. ClioCon, is the most highly-anticipated and influential event on the annual legal technology calendar. The conference attracts thousands of leaders from across the legal and technology industries who want to learn, be inspired, and innovate. The conference aims to pair exceptional content and networking with a dynamic, informative, and fun learning environment. Join us in Boston for ClioCon 2025!
2025 marks our thirteenth annual Clio Cloud Conference! The conference continues to grow, and after four years in Chicago, two years in New Orleans, one year in San Diego, two years virtual, two years in Nashville, and a year in Austin, we’re bringing it to Boston. Every year we set the bar higher, and strive to deliver an even better event.
The Clio Cloud Conference attracts legal professionals from across the industry—in all practice areas, at firms of all sizes, and legal professionals of all kinds: attorneys, paralegals, office administrators, bar leaders, law librarians, law students, legal technology enthusiasts, legal journalists, and others. The diverse conference programming each year speaks to these different constituencies so that everyone who attends can find engaging and relevant content they can bring back to their firms, businesses, or agencies.
Not at all! All legal professionals are welcome to attend this conference! While some sessions do focus on being successful with Clio’s legal software, the majority of the sessions and all of the keynotes are focused on trends and topics that are relevant for all professionals in the industry. This is a conference for the entire legal profession, and anyone passionate about the intersection of law and tech.
Yes! Each year we seek eligibility for CLE and CPD credits for lawyers with licenses to practice in the United States and Canada who join live sessions at the conference. The agenda will indicate sessions where we’re seeking CLE and CPD credits. If you have questions, reach out to conference@clio.com.
Throughout the year, we source videos, read books, review event feedback, and compile a list of over 100 prospective speakers who are both timely and touch on matters of great importance for the legal community. We thoughtfully discuss and consider each speaker and their relevance, capacity to engage the audience, and their connection to the overall theme and balance to other speakers on the docket. We believe bringing diversity of opinion and thought to our conference is essential for us to continue the transformative work we want to achieve as a collective. This includes speakers who take a strong and/or unpopular stance on certain issues we may deem relevant for discussion. No matter the speaker or topic, the Clio Cloud Conference is an open and inclusive place to encourage important discussion around challenges and celebrations in the legal industry—and its future direction. Everyone is held to the same Code of Conduct to ensure the conference is enjoyable for all.
Each year, we solicit feedback from attendees to determine a short list of cities for future conferences. We feel it is important to continue to select diverse locales to share new perspectives and facilitate conversations on the future of the legal industry. Once a shortlist of cities has been curated, we meet with potential vendors, conduct formal walkthroughs, and ultimately determine the feasibility of hosting in a city. A conference of this scale, size, and caliber includes a particular set of requirements (i.e. size, accessibility, availability of a venue, ease of travel to and from the location, etc.). As such, we book venue spaces several years in advance.
Applications to speak at the 2025 Clio Cloud Conference will open soon. Be sure to check back.
